Sony has released its official unboxing video for the PS4 which features a brown gloved Shuhei Yoshida taking out the various different bits and bobs that come in the box including a HDMI, ear piece, and codes for a PS+ trial, a Music Unlimited Trial and, $10 PS Store credit.
He finishes by saying the PS4 slogan, "greatness awaits", and you can watch the video below. You can also check out a recent video in which Sony engineer Yasuhiro Ootori demonstrates what actually lies inside the console.
It's all very futuristic and possibly familiar, that's because it's actuall a Daft Punk Random Access Memories parody.
And here's Daft Punk's version.
While Sony's marketing department deserves credit for coming up with a somewhat novel unboxing video it's unlikely anyone will ever match the Creative Assembly's Total War: Rome 2 Collector's Edition unboxing – that featured the game's developers being attacked by war dogs (yes, really).
