Keanu Reeves Role In Cyberpunk 2077 Was Originally A Lot Smaller

November 5, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Italian voice actor reveals that the script was essentially doubled.

When it comes to anticipated video game titles coming in 2020, there is one title that is likely on everyone’s list. That’s, of course, Cyberpunk 2077, the latest IP to be developed by CD Projekt Red. After putting in the work towards The Witcher trilogy, CD Projekt Red is moving on towards the launch of their next big mainline video game release. It’s become quite the ambitious title for players to go through and with the hype continually growing for the title, it’s no surprise that more news is coming out about what’s going on behind-the-scenes.

We’re sure that there are bound to be new details and features announced for Cyberpunk 2077. The video game is based on a futuristic open-world where big corporations run the city and players are a meager freelance mercenary. To pay the bills and keep food on the table, players will take on odd jobs and work their names up to the high paying circuit. A big part of the game is also augmentations where it seems that players can make several body tweaks that could compliment their particular playstyle. While we wait for new details to finally make their way out into the general public, we have learned that Keanu Reeves managed to make his character more focused throughout the game.

For those unaware, Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves has portrayed a character within Cyberpunk 2077. There is a lot of mystery behind this character but we do know that originally, the character was a bit more silent. Keanu Reeves got CD Projekt Red to double his lines after an Italian voice actor who is making an audio dub for Keanu’s actor alerted the media.

There are no complaints as Keanu Reeves is a beloved Hollywood actor that we’re sure many fans are eager to see appear throughout the main campaign but we’re interested in seeing just how much the actor was able to sway the development of his character. At any rate, we’ll soon get a chance to play his character as Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on April 16, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
