Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics released a new overview trailer for their highly anticipated epic superhero title — Marvel’s Avengers.
The new overview trailer showcases a deeper look into the mechanics of the game and systems. We get a decent look at the game with only a three-minute trailer! The trailer is indeed short, however, it gets to the point and showcases the important bits players want to know the most.
Some of the highlights that came out of the overview trailer are that players will be able to play missions solo or in co-op up to four players. Each player can choose a different Avenger with a ton of cosmetic differences if the player wishes to do so. We also learned about the presumed main baddies of the game, an evil organization named AIM. Advanced Idea Mechanics have some conspiracy against the Avengers and it’ll be up to us the players and the Avengers to figure out what they’re up to.
As we saw from the Kamala Khan trailer a couple of weeks ago, Square Enix doubles down on how important her character will be to the main story. It’s her job to reunite the broken Avengers and help bring balance to the dystopian looking world. And thanks to the official blog post from the PS Blog, we also learned some interesting details about post-launch content.
Excitedly, post-launch characters will come as no additional charge! That’s huge news as the developers and publisher could have easily charged money for induvial characters. Also in lieu of that, skins will only be cosmetic, so don’t expect to see different build styles or perks granted by specific skins. Enough talking now, let’s see the overview trailer.
