I know, I know – you want to hear more about Kingdom Hearts 3. The next-generation project hasn’t exactly been heavy with details over the past few months, but we can at least talk to you about another mash up between Final Fantasy and Disney character. Kingdom Hearts X [chi] (or what’s also being called Kingdom Hearts: Key) is a browser-based card game set in the universe we’ve all come to know and love, and the Japanese website for the game has just launched.
This is the first-ever browser game in the long -running series, and as you’d guess, it's a free-to-play experience with in-game items to purchase. Instead of following series staple Sora through the many colorful worlds, the players themselves take on the task of becoming the game’s protagonist. The goal is to advance through battles with collected cards and fighting with friends to take down enemies, all while trying to find the massive number of collectable items scattered across the card-based world.
The specs are nothing that should hold players back. It’ll take Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome 22, Mozzila Firefox 15, Safari 5.1 or higher to see it all work, with the minimum for operating systems being Windows XP Service Pack 3. Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or higher is the last real requirement for the game.
It’s a change of pace, but one you might enjoy. Keep an eye on the latest from the Kingdom Hearts team.
