Sony has detailed the changes that will come as part of PS Vita system update 3.00 which is being released today and makes the console PS4 ready.
The update includes a PS4 Link App that allows users to control their PS4 and use any game with the system's second screen functionality. Support for PS4 Trophies has also been added with the first being spotted for Battlefield 4 last night.
Vita's friends list has also been overhauled in order to be compatible with the PS4's expanded social features. All future system updates can now be set to download automatically.
Group Messaging has been renamed Messages and allows you to chat to PS4 players or PS App users. The Party App now offers voice and text chat with friends and other players.
A panoramic camera setting and parental controls have also been added along with the option to wirelessly transfer data between PS Vita and PS3.
Update 3.00 offers a number of other updates which you can read about on the PlayStation Blog; a video detailing the update is included below. Earlier today, Sony announced a PocketStation App for PS Vita in Japan.
