Battlefield 4 players on Reddit have reported that putting a silencer on the Chinese QBU 88 sniper rifle actually mutes the entire current game's server.
While DICE have more scope to fix issues regarding servers on their side than they did with Battlefield 3 there currently isn't a resolution to the problem and players will likely have to wait until the developers patch or otherwise solve the issue.
This is far from being the only problem affecting the shooter with a litany of technical issues and game breaking bugs discovered since launch.
Battlefield 4 follows in the wake of another glitch-laden game, Batman: Arkham Origins, and it seems players are paying the price for poor QA.
