We have a new set of maps for Grand Theft Auto Online showing all the aircraft spawns and what levels were required. Once again, given the size of the maps, we’ll be linking them directly to you here. What follows below is a brief guide.
Red indicates helicopter locations, and blue airplane locations. Places marked in asterisk are still under investigation. The map maker is looking into what level you need to get said plane or helicopter. Make sure to check back in a few days for updates.
Each new plane or heli you get replaces the old one. The exceptions are the planes at Fort Zancudo base and the Cuban 800 in Sandy Shores Airfield.
The Vinewood Police Station is hit or miss. When you reach Level 11, there is a chance Police and Medic Mavericks will appear after regular Mavericks appear. Buzzards may also spawn later in the game, but overall going there is a risk.
Other players in the area affect vehicle spawning. If you luck out, even if you’re at a low level, you can get an advanced plane or helicopter if higher level players are in the area.
Most areas have multiple spawn points. You can also move out of range and come back to force respawning as well.
Occasionally, the Annihilator will spawn where the Buzzard was supposed to appear. This has been observed in the helipad near the luxury docks.
Buying helicopters and planes are iffy at the moment. A player complained about buying a Buzzard, having it spawn too far away and costing too much ($ 1000). Hopefully, Rockstar can address this with a future pack, although they seem preoccupied with the in-game economy issues.
