Red Dead Redemption 2 PC System Requirements Now Available

October 9, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Can your system run it?

Red Dead Redemption 2 was a much-hyped and anticipated video game. Acting as a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption, players were once again tossed back into the wild west as they attempt to gain riches while avoiding the law. It’s a game that released with positive reviews and for those who own an Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you may have already enjoyed the game fully. With that said, Rockstar Games finally unveiled a PC port which is coming out next month.

If you were hoping to get your hands on a copy of the game for PC then you may want to make sure your system can run it. Earlier today we got a press release from Rockstar Games that unveils the system requirements needed to run the video game optimally. You can check out both the minimum specifications and recommended specifications down below.

Minimum Specifications:

  • OS: Windows 7 – Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K / AMD FX-6300
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
  • HDD Space: 150GB
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible

Recommended Specifications:

  • OS: Windows 10 – April 2018 Update (v1803)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • Memory: 12GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
  • HDD Space: 150GB
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible

If you already played the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and still own a gaming PC then you might be swayed to pick up the port. Rockstar Games has added new content into the PC platform which includes new bounty hunter missions, gang hideouts, treasure maps, a new mission, weapons, horses, and lastly trinkets.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC platform will be launching on November 5, 2019. If you’re unsure if the game is for you then we suggest checking out our Before You Buy episode coverage embedded at the top of this page.
