To complete the trilogy for The 7th Guest franchise, which first debuted in 1993, Trilobyte Games launched a Kickstarter to help fund development.
To open the doors of the haunted house in The 7th Guest: 3, Trilobyte Games just needs fan support. Besides the need for funding, Trilobyte already drew up plans and established a development team ready to enter the Henry Stauf's haunted mansion.
If fans pledge $20 or more, Trilobyte will hand those backers free download codes for PC, Mac or Linux versions. When The 7th Guest: 3 releases, the game will retail for an increased price of $29.99. Their initial goal of $435,000 guarantees the development of The 7th Guest: 3, but a number of stretch goals could add both new content or even real life amusement parks.
If Trilobyte reaches the $4,000,000 stretch goal, the studio will purchase The Nunan Estate in Jacksonville, Oregon, used as a model for Stauf Mansion. With the estate, Trilobyte plans to open a haunted house themed amusement centre for the public.
The Kickstarter project ends in 38 days with $14,000 raised so far.
