Eight retro titles are set for release in North America and Europe at $6 a piece this year.

Sega has today announced that a number of Sega 3D Classics titles will be released in North America and Europe on 3DS over the next few months.

Each game will be individually priced at $5.99 / €4.99 / £4.49 and the release schedule is as follows:

  • 3D Space Harrier – November 28
  • 3D Super Hang-On – November 28
  • 3D Sonic The Hedgehog – December 5
  • 3D Altered Beast – December 5
  • 3D Ecco the Dolphin – December 12
  • 3D Galaxy Force II – December 12
  • 3D Shinobi III – December 19
  • 3D Streets of Rage – December 19

John Cheng, President and COO, SEGA of America, stated:

“These games were completely re-built to offer a robust 3D experience that offers more modern gameplay while still keeping true to the original. We look forward to bringing these classic SEGA titles to Nintendo 3DS for fans – both old and new.”

The Sega 3D Classics collection was originally announced for Japanese release in November 2012 and the first game to be released, Sonic the Hedgehog, launched on the eShop in the country in May 2013.

Sega added that more information about the titles will be revealed closer to release and this will include developer interviews.
