Naughty Dog has released a new map for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception to mark the game's second anniversary and announced that all map packs for the game are now free.
The new maps is called Dry Docks. Naughty Dog revealed that map was originally pitched as a single player level but game designer Robert Cogburn thought it would make a good fit for multiplayer. As time went on the map was forgotten until the studio turned its attention to patch 1.18 it was brought back.
There's an extensive list of tweaks and fixes included in 1.18 and you can find out more about what's on offer in the patch notes. It's noted that this will be the last major patch for the game unless "there's a dire need for a future one". An AMA on Reddit will also be held tomorrow to discuss the changes being introduced with 1.18.
Since Uncharted 3 was released in 2011 Naughty Dog launched The Last of Us this year and Sony confirmed at gamescom that the studio is working on a PS4 title. Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan has hinted at a "new" Uncharted while GameStop briefly listed Uncharted 4 for PS4 in September.
