Just in time for Halloween, Deep Silver and Volition have just brought the world of Saints Row 4 full circle with the new Super Saints pack, available now for only $ 2.99.
Of course, part of Saints Row’s storyline involves picking up superpowers while using extraterrestrial narcotics, all part of the mission to save the world from an alien invasion. While it was fun to play at a hero being a Saint, and you can certainly make up your character using existing Saints Row creation tools to look like a superhero, Volition have not actually made superhero outfits a part of the game.
Now, you can sincerely play at being superhero with a set of three male superhero outfits, two female superhero outfits, as well as the brilliant new Large Submachine Gun.
The costumes themselves are evocative of classic comic book character designs. I do not apologize for constantly coming back to Wally Wood’s T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, although I am also reminded of Colleen Doran’s designs. Maybe you will see something more contemporary in there, the one guy is definitely Mentok the Mindtaker-ish, but that's the point. Anyway, there's nothing too fancy or revealing outside of skintight full-body outfits, because hey, you’re still a Saint.
Or maybe it’s a conscious choice to remind people this is for Halloween? In any case, you can just go ahead and cop them for Steam to try out here. Three bucks is hard to argue with if you ask me.
