Sometimes, exclusive really does mean exclusive. The previously announced PlayStation-only DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which will introduce a full hour’s worth of Aveline levels, was thought to be nothing more than a timed deal after the release of a US trailer last week. The video seemed to indicate the content’s short-lived deal with PlayStation consoles, but Ubisoft has confirmed with Eurogamer that these 60 minutes will remain exclusive for its lifetime.
Both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will enjoy this bonus content, but that doesn’t mean that all DLC for this open-world title will be exclusive to Sony. The game does have a season pass that Ubisoft recently detailed, as well as an online pass that’s required to access some single-player content. The PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game are now available for purchase, but you’ll have to wait until later in November to see what the next-gen editions are like.
