Somehow, EA has managed to collect enough data to predict that Titanfall will come out of the gate with a truckload of critical acclaim and accolades. That’s at least the impression that was given during a question-and-answer session the company held with analysts last night, where Stephen Ju from Credit Suisse expressed concern over quality due to the possibility of the game being rushed. EA games label boss Patrick Söderlund quickly put that thought to bed, and moved on to explain why he knows this will be a high-quality package.
"This is a very experienced, seasoned team, one of the best in the industry. They've got a bunch of great games under their belt. We have been monitoring and working with them for a long time,” he said. “This has been a game that's been in development for multiple years. And all the data that we have in front of us suggest that this game will not only be highly rated, but very highly rated.
"So I feel better than I would normally feel at this time, on a game like this."
Data can only go so far, but as of now, it seems like most members of the media are impressed with what developer Respawn has been able to accomplish. The game’s next-generation exclusivity to the Xbox One was also discussed, with Respawn quickly commenting that it will eventually make a PS4 game. However, this particular multiplayer shooter will only hit the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2014.
