We’re finally here, folks. Reviews for next-generation games are beginning to roll out, which should lead to a heated argument or two between the soldiers of Sony and Microsoft. Which version of a particular game has a better frame rate? Does the resolution make a difference? Does the PlayStation 4’s extra horsepower really make the games look better? These are all burning questions that are honestly difficult to answer, but new images from the recently released Battlefield 4 do show a difference between the Xbox One and Ps4 versions of the game.
The following GIFs, provided by Twitter user Wario64, quickly shift between the PS4 version of Battlefield 4 and the Xbox One. There looks to be a greater level of texture detail within the second screen, but it’s best if you just take a look and make your own judgment.
What do you think? Does the Xbox One version actually look superior to what’s on PS4? Either way, the game is beautiful, but it’s fun to at least make the comparisons as we approach the launch of new consoles.
