Check out this sweet new image gallery showing off possibly the best Battlefield 4 can look on PC short of 4K, taken on Ultra settings.
The poster confirms their PC setup: an Intel Core i7-3770K processor, a GTX Titan graphics card and 16 GB RAM. He also has an UltraWide LG 29EA93P IPS monitor, so he is outputting these images in an insanely large resolution of 21:9. If you may not be able to guess from just reading this, these are top of the line specs for sure.
The Intel Core i7-3770K was last year’s top of the line processors in the Ivy Bridge line. Between the 3.5-3.9 GHz clock speed, 8MB cache, and Hyper Threading, you have a board that’s very capable of fast and powerful performance, although it may be found lacking when it comes to running graphics.
When you add in the Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan, however, what you have is a beast. We have written about the Titan on this site before, but it is not hyperbole to say it is likely the best graphics card you can get in the market today. And as they ably demonstrated not too long ago with Panasonic, the Titan is fully capable of outputting in Ultra HD 4K.
While these pictures are not in 4K, they are in Ultrawide, possibly the best monitor quality you can get on the consumer range. LG’s IPS (In Plane Switching) monitors were built to display vibrant colors from any angle, and so this tech is used in their top of the line 29 inch monitors. The resulting image also benefits from a minimum of motion blur.
Remember, these images are not even on 4K. On Ultrawide, you can clearly see a performance boost that beats what is possible in current gen consoles, maybe even next gen. What platform are you getting Battlefield 4 on?
Battlefield 4 is available on Windows today. But if you really want to, you can also get it for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
