Maksym Pashanin launched a Kickstarter campaign for his strategy-oriented tactical RPG Confederate Express yesterday.It is a Windows PC exclusive game that basically tasks the player, a delivery agent, to deliver packages while fighting through hordes of zombies.
"Confederate Express is all about exploration, fighting enemies, and making your way towards the main goal: trying to survive while delivering a package. Packages vary by size, weight and fragility; which makes every delivery a unique experience, ranging from a quick 15-minute tasks, all the way to a challenging journey throughout various events and locations. The more difficult the delivery, the greater the rewards: mercenaries, gear, weapons and ultimately – greater challenges," listed the game's description on their Kickstarter page.
The games has a permadeath feature that will force players to start over if they bite more than what they can chew. Before embarking on a mission, you can choose from a variety of crew members who each have their own strength and weaknesses. You can also accumulate loot like moddable weapons and gadgets to aid you on your mission. In addition, the game boasts unique levels that will give players a different experience each time.
Pashanin and his team are aiming for a modest fund of USD $10,000 and they are collecting pledges until November 20th. The minimum pledge of $10 grants users a DRM free copy, while the maximum pledge will give users a sneak peek of the game in addition to all the $100 and less perks.
