The makers of Psychonauts, Brutal Legend and a host of other nifty games has just released its very first space station simulator/sci-fi builder called Spacebase DF-9.
Originally developed as a part of the Amnesia Fortnight on Humble Bundle, Double Fine's Spacebase DF-9 is a full fledged title that's currently in its first alpha version and is priced at $25 on Steam's Early Access program.
The game sees players constructing a space habitat for astronauts and friendly aliens following the "collapse of galactic society," and has players contending against space pirates, environmental hazards, and more. It's basically Dungeon Keeper or Dwarf Fortress in space.
The development of the game is being headed up by JP LeBreton, who was the co-lead designer on The Cave, also released by Double Fine.
