EA and DICE have been putting a heavy emphasis on the next-generation versions of Battlefield 4, but don’t forget that the blockbuster first-person shooter will also be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Will these be the smoothest, most complete methods to play the game? Probably not, but new information on the EA website explains how you can get the best Battlefield experience on the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, it’ll require an install of about 12 GB.
“The first time you start your game, regardless of which disc you use, you will be asked to perform a required installation of 2 GB worth of game content to your hard drive,” the post reads. “In addition to the required installation, each disc has additional content you can install to your hard drive for better performance.
“The Multiplayer Disc, or Disc 1, has an additional 6.6 GB of content. The Single Player Disc, or Disc 2, has 5.8 GB of installation content. We highly recommend performing these additional installations to make sure you have the best experience possible in Battlefield 4.”
That’s quite a bit of space for a single game, so it looks like dedicated shooter fans will have to delete some old games if they hope to have the best time possible with the sequel. Gameplay videos and details on the changes being made make Battlefield 4 seem like a truly worthwhile venture, but if you have a PC or next-generation console this year, those look like the ideal platforms to play.
