Minecraft Earth Beta Opens To Android Users Next Week

Minecraft is a beloved video game that’s been around for years and doesn’t look like it will be ending anytime soon. The video game title is practically available on all current platforms and while there is a massive fan base, development studio Mojang has been working on other spin-offs from the hit video game title. One of those spin-offs is Minecraft Earth, which was unveiled back in May of this year and it’s going to take on a similar mechanic that Pokemon Go features. Players will be using their mobile devices and venturing out into open.

For those who are not familiar with the game, Minecraft Earth is an augmented reality video game title that will be available on both iOS and Android devices. This is mainly focused on smartphones where players can use their camera to view the world of Minecraft overlaid within the real world. From there, players will be able to build new structures and even go on adventures that may result in fighting enemies or solving puzzles.

This game currently is in closed beta for iOS devices but that will soon change. Mojang is opening up the betas to Android devices starting next week, but there will be a few requirements. For starters, you have to sign up for the beta which will get you a free skin for Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Bedrock. Likewise, you need to have an Android device that runs either Android 7 or higher. During the signup process, you’ll receive a few questions to answer but it goes without saying you must have at least 18 years or older to participate.
