Rockstar Releases GTA 5 Patch 1.03, Fixing Exploits and Bugs

October 9, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new patch for GTA 5 aims to alleviate some of the bugs players have been experiencing in GTA Online.

Rockstar has put out a new patch for Grand Theft Auto 5, bringing the game up to version 1.03.

Though the studio has yet to provide patch notes for the patch, gamers on the title's official forum report that the patch has closed off exploits for farming money and experience points in GTA Online, and has stopped allowing players to repeat the same missions over and over again.

Unfortunately, players who lost their characters report that the patch does not fix their issue as their characters remain missing.

Rockstar confirmed earlier this week that it was aware of issues where players were losing cash, progress, and even entire characters, and advised players who've lost their online characters not to create new characters within those empty slots where their avatar would normally appear.

The patch 1.03 update weighs in at 39MB and 59MB on PS3 and Xbox 360, respectively.
