This week's Famitsu issue (a Japanese video game magazine) details a new Harvest Moon game titled Harvest Moon: Linking the New World.
Gematsu's translation of the announcement explains that players select a male or female character in Oaktree Town. Improved farming actions simplify garden maintenance, which leaves more time for the safari players enter and tend to animals.
The 'linking worlds' suggested in the title means both the connection players develop with the game and the StreetPass capabilities used to exchange personal data.
The Harvest Moon: Linking the New World 3DS title will launch in 2014 for Japan. Development nearly reaches completion with progress at 80%.
