Gears 5 Has Officially Hit Gold Status

August 9, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Nothing is delaying this game now.

If you’ve been waiting for Gears 5 to finally release into the market then you may be delighted to hear that the title has officially entered gold status. This means that the developers have finished the game up and discs can be manufactured. The announcement was made through Twitter by the Xbox Wire account in celebration to the game’s milestone from development studio The Coalition.

The Gears of War franchise will soon have its fifth main installment available in the market. After being worked on for a few years, developers The Coalition has finally reached the gold status in the game development process. Now there is nothing stopping Gears 5 from hitting its intended release date of September 6, 2019. This is great to hear as now the game is ready to move for disc manufacturing.

.@CoalitionGears and Xbox are proud to announce that #Gears5 has gone gold for a September 6 release! Check out the full (spoiler free) achievement list here on Xbox Wire. https://t.co/cIfyH7B2b6

Gears 5 will put a central focus on Kait Diaz who starts her quest to learn about her family origins and the connections with the Locust. It’s been a wild journey so far for the franchise and we’re sure there are plenty out there wondering how Gears 5 will end and if it will set up for a new main installment. Likewise, in the past we’ve seen footage for the upcoming Gears 5 Escalation game mode and details about a bootcamp training grounds to help newcomers to the franchise or veterans on the control schemes and weapons featured in the game. At any rate, Gears 5 is set to launch on September 10, 2019, for the PC and Xbox One platforms.
