Grand Theft Auto Online is out, and it's every bit as enjoyable to play as Rockstar promised it would be—even if it's a little bit buggy at the moment. The game sees dozens of players playing in an online environment where almost anything is possible.

Needless to say, the game's size and scope may take quite a bit of getting used to, especially if you've yet to go through the single player portion of GTA 5, a title which sold over 15 million copies, much less complete it. It's advisable to familiarize yourself with your surroundings before delving into the game's multiplayer counterpart.

With that in mind, we've compiled a list of tips and tricks to get you started with the game, and a few more miscellaneous ones.

– Don't worry about ATM locations, and don't use ATMs to deposit money. Simply pull up the Maze Bank app on your phone and you'll be able to withdraw and deposit cash.

– Pressing the down button the D-Pad while inside of a garage when playing will provide you with the statistics of each stored vehicle, as well as information as to whether it's been insured or not.

– When parking at a store, remember your character can only PUSH doors, not PULL them.

– Early on, don’t spend too much money on your clothing–spend it on weapons instead. Equip yourself before you wreck yourself.

– The first car you steal in GTA Online should be the best car you can find, or you’ll have to drive a lesser vehicle around until you can get enough money to buy a new car.

– You can earn rank ups on your Reputation by participating in missions with other players.

– Once you acquire a better weapon, put your money towards buying a garage.

– If you wreck your insured car, call up the insurance company from your phone book.

– If you go to the realtor’s website on your phone it will list the cost of every property in the game.

– Remember to play in passive mode (online>options>passive) if you don’t want to get killed when you’re just sitting around.

– If you get a free garage at any point in the game, and have an upgraded vehicle set as your own, do not try to replace it in the garage or you will lose its upgrades.

We'll add more tips as the information becomes available.
