Colorblind assist options aren't a common feature in most games, which don't play well with some gamers. And even the games which do offer colorblind assist options do so in a half-assed way, as an on/off toggle that doesn't necessarily work as expected given that there are multiple forms of colorblindness including deuteranopia, tritanopia, and protanopia.
EA and DICE have taken the initiative to provide a full range of support options for colorblind players in Battlefield 4. May more developers follow in their footsteps.
