The Yakuza franchise has been around for years as it’s the first installment came out on the PlayStation 2. Since then we’ve seen new main installments released into the market with even a remake of sorts with the Yakuza Kiwami series. Likewise, the games have been following the main protagonist named Kazuma Kiryu who recently had a story conclusion. As a result, there may be some gamers wondering just what will come next for the franchise in terms of storyline and its characters. Well, one thing is for sure, the details for a new Yakuza game is coming next month.
Announced through Twitter, which was translated online, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will be making a new Yakuza game and it will be revealed during a press conference on August 29, 2019. This will likely come with some details not only about the game narrative but perhaps a launch window. There’s a lot of unknowns at the moment, but we did get news of an actress, Eri Kamataki, who would be taking on the role of a female character for a female character.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what we can expect from this next installment, but while we wait there is the latest spin-off title that gamers can enjoy which is called Judgment. This is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that released back in June of this year.
