Easily one of the most anticipated video games to launch in 2020 is CD Projekt Red’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. The developers who crafted up the video game adaptations of The Witcher novels are bringing out a brand new RPG experience. This time around, the game will put players far into the future where the world is run by crime, greed and big corporations. We’ve come to know that the developers like creating plenty of lore behind their video games and as such, there is bound to be plenty of new discoveries and oddities to learn about in this in-game world. Of course, already the gameplay footage shown off from the title features quite a lived in and massive area known as Night City.
Recently it was revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a book released shortly after the launch of the video game. This book is in partnership with Dark Horse Comics where it’s confirmed that there are over 200 pages full of content about the in-game world. This means that you’ll get a nice lore history book of the game background and again, after seeing the gameplay footage, who wouldn’t want to read about the inner workings of Night City?
Apparently, The World of Cyberpunk 2077 will give a breakdown of the various districts, gangs, weapons, cybernetics, vehicles and overall history of the city. We imagine that even with this book, there are going to be plenty of areas that CD Projekt Red can further flesh out with expansions, similar to how they handled The Witcher 3 video game release.
