Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is soon set to hit the market and it’s been receiving plenty of attention since E3 2019. In a new reveal from the development team crafting up the video game, Infinity Ward, we got to see the latest new game mode addition, Gunfight. This is an intense fast-paced game mode that put players in a 2v2 situation with a quick countdown of just forty seconds. This is the type of game mode to enjoy if you’re looking for a quick match, but let’s give it a quick breakdown so you know just what to expect when the game launches this October.
As mentioned, Infinity Ward showed off the new game mode recently on Twitch. We learned that this is a 2v2 mode where players are put into a map with the goal of eliminating the opposing team in just 40 seconds. If you eliminate the team you’ll win the match. However, there is a twist in case neither team is successful in eliminating the opposing players. When the time runs out and both teams are still active, a flag will be placed on the center of the map and it’s within this area that the goal changes to securing the area.
The first team that secures the area wins the match. This game mode won’t last very long and it’s not a single round situation as it’s a series of matches. A game of Gunfight is only won by a team of players winning a total of six points. More details are likely to follow about Gunfight when Infinity Ward holds a multiplayer Twitch session on August 1, 2019, at 10 PM PT. As for when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch, Infinity Ward currently has the game slated to release on October 25, 2019.
