After a long time of speculation and rumors spreading the internet, Nintendo has officially announced and detailed their upcoming new version of the Nintendo Switch — the Lite.
This new version of the Nintendo Switch isn’t much of an upgrade as it more serves as a lower base model of the console. The new Lite version of the Switch is set to release this September 20th and will retail for about $200.
Compared to the original Nintendo Switch, the Lite will have a smaller screen, no removable joycons, and will not be able to dock into a TV. However, the Lite will bring a better D-Pad, a longer battery, and more compact for traveling.
