Rain Conceptual Video Showcases the Game’s Haunting Atmosphere

September 26, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Rain is about to hit the PlayStation Network very soon, and a new video has been released by Sony to build up some hype for the upcoming title.

The trailer doesn't showcase anything at all in the way of gameplay, and functions instead as a conceptual piece that evokes the game's dream-like atmosphere of its rain-soaked setting.

Taking place in an invisible world revealed by falling rain, players take on the role of a young boy who becomes lost in the world when he spots an invisible girl and follows her. Like the girl, he too is invisible, and is spotted by the player only through wet footprints and the rain pattering on his shoulders.

Be sure to check back with Gameranx for our review of Rain in the coming week.

Rain will be out on the PlayStation Network Store on October 1 in the US and October 2 in Europe.
