Fortnite & Stranger Things Crossover Event Now Available

July 10, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Hopper and the Demogorgon have invaded Fortnite.

Stranger Things is a worldwide TV series hit and it’s likely you’ve already enjoyed the available seasons right now. Recently, Netflix aired the latest season which is a continuation set within the town of Hawkins. We will, of course, avoid any spoilers from season three in here so you’re safe to proceed in this article to find out what has been added into Fortnite. If you have yet to see the show, this is a science fiction series that follows a small town as they fight off a supernatural element that has invaded into the realm. It features an 80’s feel and vibe with inspirations from past camaraderie hits like The Goonies and Ghostbusters.

With the third season now available, we’re seeing that the franchise has been partnered up with Epic Games Fortnite title. The free-to-play battle royale hit will feature a few elements from the series such as the mall from the current season, Upsidedown portals to even skins. If you jump on Fortnite, you may find Chief Hopper and the Demogorgon running around.

The gate has been opened.

This is in promotion of the latest season so we don’t know to expect too many other elements to pop up but of course, we’ll just have to wait and see as you play. Likewise, Fortnite is gearing close to the upcoming season so it will be interesting to see if this partnership will play any role in season 10 or if it will be a one-off for now.

At any rate, you can join in on the fun right now and enjoy the two skins, the mall locations to even the weapon cosmetic to show a living and moving vine system. What do you think of the partnership and would you like to see more cosmetics enter the game from the Stranger Things franchise?
