Europa Universalis 4, which is by and far the largest, or at least most intricate strategy game this side of Civilization, has received a major update today that brings the game up to version 1.2, Paradox Interactive has announced. The new update includes hundreds of fixes, feature updates, balance adjustments and a host of other improvements.
The full patch notes for the game can be found on its official forums, here.
The update should be automatically downloaded if you have the game installed on Steam, regardless of the version you're playing it on—be it Linux, Mac or PC. The biggest improvement contained within the update is a windowed fullscreen mode. Also added is a 'suggest demands' button that allows you to automatically populate your demands to an NPC faction when trying to end a war.
In addition to the free patch, Europa Universalis 4 sees the release of two new DLC packs titled "American Dream" and "National Monuments 2", the former of which revolves around the American Revolution.
