To help bear the slightly awful transition into the brand new school year, Blizzard will drop the prices of Heart of the Swarm and Wings of Liberty alongside the inclusion of some in-game rewards.
From September 23-30, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty will receive a 50% discount and StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will receive a 25% discount. If you want to try Heart of the Swarm before buying, the StarCraft 2 Spawning feature allows players to invite their friends into their Heart of the Swarm games.
The back to school promotion will also include three new school themed character portraits unlocked through the "You Got Schooled" achievement. To earn this achievement, players must perform a series of tasks. To unlock the portraits, win inning five games in Arcade, Custom, Ranked, Training, Unranked or against A.I will unlock "You Got Schooled."
To reward players of all skill, a double experience points buff will run actively until September 30th.
