We have an enhanced version of the Dark Souls 2 map that came with the collector’s edition of the game.
There isn’t a lot of information on actual locations on the map yet, however, screenshots have revealed some information on some particular locations, most of which relating to the world’s dragons.
The Mansion of the Dragons is a place where experiments where being done on the dragons. This areas is filled with cells that contain numerous abberations as well as many dark areas that need to be lit with torches.
The Castle of the Dragons is on top of a spire surrounded by Wyverns. It stands around a moat, with a solitary bridge drawing you towards it.
The Torture Chamber may or may not be part of other locations, but distinguishes itself with its long, curved halls. The monster found in the chamber is tentatively named the Silver Chariot. Other locations of which we only know the names of for now are the Iron Factory and the Dragon’s Nest.
There is also speculation that one of the monsters is a Balrog, or perhaps the next incarnation of the Flame Lurker. Maybe it’s just a case of artistic license?
The same person who shared the map has also made another image, showing where they think certain locations we have already seen in screenshots are located in the map. This is purely guess work, but they do use context clues, and perhaps information gleaned from the previous games, so consider this well educated guesses. Dark Souls 2 will be released on March 11.
