Although the PlayStation 4 won’t hit each and every desired territory in 2013, the company has just announced four new regions that will, in fact, be on the radar this year. The PS4 will make its December debut this year in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, according to new information from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia (SCEJA).
The fresh release dates came during a pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, but other than a December window, there was no real substantial information during the presser. Localized prices and dates of each individual territory are yet to be released, but that news is supposedly coming during SCEJA's local launch event in November this year.
Comparatively, the next-generation box from Sony has a launch date in North America of Nov. 15, Nov. 29 in Europe, and Feb. 22 of next year in Japan. Microsoft’s Xbox One, on the other hand, is looking to reach a smaller pool of countries Nov. 22.
Come back for more news from the 2013 Tokyo Game Show in the coming days.
