Players can carry over Xbox 360 digital versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts to the Xbox One version for just $10. The upgrade offer aims to ease the transition to the next generation platforms without sacrificing the luxury of playing games at launch. The upgrade also includes the Season Pass content and any in-game statistics.
Select retailers will offer a $69.99 dual license digital version allowing play on the Xbox 360 and then on the Xbox One. If players purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 digitally, they can later upgrade to the Xbox One version for just $10. The games will link via the Gamertag used to purchase the titles. The upgrade offer will remain open until March 31st, 2014.
Using the Call of Duty: ELITE service, players can carry over their statistics, unlocks and other items to the next generation versions.
Activision previously announced a similar upgrade feature for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 but did not confirm the offer for digital version.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch on November 5th.
