GTA 5 Easter Eggs Secrets Guide

September 17, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

GTA 5 is packed with easter eggs. Here’s a few that we’ve found thus far.

The Grand Theft Auto series is known for its intense stories of crime, revenge, and redemption, but the games are not without an aspect of frivolity, which notably come in the form of easter eggs.

Like previous games in the series, Grand Theft Auto 5 comes with a bevy of easter eggs, some of which were spotted by the keenest of eyes and uploaded to YouTube for all to enjoy.

This list will be updated with more easter eggs as they become known to us.

Lester has an action figure collection with Master Chief and Superman among them. They're small and the easter egg is pretty easy to miss, but there they are, languishing on a shelf in one of his rooms.

Stealing Michael's car as Franklin will get you a threatening message from Michael. He might be psychic.

Swimming out to sea in a jetski can get you in trouble with sharks if you aren't particularly careful. You'll die, but at least you'll get an achievement for it telling you to get a bigger boat. Remember that line? It's from Jaws.

The RPG (rocket propelled grenade) Launcher is located out in the wild and it’s something you can pick up if you should ever decide to go on a rampage. Also located in the same vicinity is a helecopter that’s fully loaded with missiles and machine guns.

It’s a little known fact that Ammunation is as robbable as any other business in the game. There’s no reason why you’d want to do that as money is rarely an issue, but hey, it’s an easy way to get rich without having to deal with a star rating from the cops.

There’s a stretch limo that can only be found in a specific part of the game—the airfield.

The Playboy Mansion is an actual location in the game, which corresponds to its location in real life.

There’s a scary ghost atop Mt. Chiliad who resembles the spooky ghost from the movie Mama. It shows up between 11pm and 12am, hovering over the name “Jock.”

There’s a particularly complicated series of easter eggs related to the Illuminati, which is alluded to in dialogue between Franklin and Trevor.

Here’s a series of easter eggs, which include references to Alien, No Country for Old Men, Dead Island, and the Vinewood (Hollywood) Walk of Fame.

There’s a giant ball in GTA 5 which you can send rolling off the mountain. Here’s how to do just that.

Last, but not least, is a guide on how to find all the hidden packages in GTA 5.
