Valve now has Saints Row 4 expansion GAT 5 available on Steam, available for free for one day only.
Yes, you read that right. If you had the foresight to get the game on Steam, you can already enjoy playing the not at all subtly titled GAT 5. The pack includes Gat’s costume and signature hairdo, a 50 Cal Rifle, and that gigantic Knife Launcher.
The pack preorder bonus, the costume of Gat’s doomed girlfriend Aisha, is also in the pack, and before you ask, both men and women can wear either costume.
Spoilers follow: To be clear, yes, Johnny Gat actually does make an official return in the actual Saints Row 4 storyline. Following the improbable outer space invasion scenario, it turns out the games’ erstwhile antagonist Zinyak actually captured Johnny years ago, and trapped him in the memory of his girlfriend’s death. Zinyak did this in the fear that Johnny could stop the alien invasion single handedly if he was actually around. You will go on to rescue Johnny and he will become a part of the story until the end of the game.
