In an interview with Gamingbolt, Warner Montreal gameplay director Michael McIntyre shared new details on upcoming game Batman: Arkham Origins, revealing the map is twice as big as it was in Batman: Arkham City, among other things.
Basically, Batman can now explore two sections of Gotham City, North Gotham and South Gotham, connected by a bridge. You get to choose for yourself how long you want the single player campaign to last, but Warner thinks that it will match the minimum expectations fans had for the game.

Similarly, he hopes the boss battles in Batman: Arkham Origins will also live up to expectations set by the previous Arkham games. Thanks to the story of having a cadre of assassins all going after Batman’s head, the stage was set for several memorable confrontations. They customized each major battle to each character, in such a way that some fights are close up, some are bigger than life, and others will feel weird. Among other things, Warner hopes the boss fights will be one of the strongest parts of the game.
We already talked about several possibilities for awesome boss battles when we looked at the Gamescom trailer, the same one that revealed Firefly. One thing we did not find out about yet is if there could be a possible showdown with Black Mask. I doubt that’s going to go down to a simple firefight.
Batman: Arkham Origins is coming to Windows, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U this coming October 25.
