Sony has taken a cue from Nintendo with their sporadic livestream events. Instead of taking the big stages at E3, the companies have both opted to showcase what’s to come in a different matter by giving gamers worldwide a look at a video upload. So far Sony has only two State of Play’s uploaded with the latest being done earlier today and shockingly, the event was very short by just over ten minutes.
What we got was a quick look at what’s to come with new trailers and a game announcement. So if you missed out on the livestream or just want a quick recap of what was announced then read on.
Monster Hunter Iceborne
Monster Hunter Iceborne is an upcoming DLC to Monster Hunter: World. We got a new trailer showing off the DLC world, monsters, and a few features. You can check out the trailer posted above and make note that the DLC will be released on September 6, 2019, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. PC gamers will get their chance to enjoy the game later this winter.
Predator Hunting Grounds
We got a short teaser trailer for a new game being developed under Illfonic. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any real look at the gameplay but instead was told that it will a multiplayer asymmetrical video game which will put players into suited marines as they fight against the predator. So far the game looks to be releasing next year.
MediEvil Remake
MediEvil Remake was something we’ve known about for a while now but we didn’t get too many details or updates on the game lately. That finally changed as it looks like the old hack-and-slash title is slated to launch sometime this fall. We don’t have a specific release date yet but at the very least we know the game won’t be pushed back to next year. Likewise, the trailer shown off gives players the complete premise story of our hero coming back to life in order to stop a dark sorcerer.
Away: The Survival Series
Sony showed off a game called Away: The Survival Series which puts players into the role of a small critter known as a Sugar Glider who must find sanctuary. In order to do so, you’ll have to avoid hostile creatures and environments. This is very much a nature-driven video game full of different environments and hidden hostilities within the ecosystem.
Days of Play
Days of Play is back which will bring in new deals from June 8-18. You may find discounts in terms of hardware, peripherals, and video games. Likewise, we’re getting a limited edition PlayStation 4 which gamers can pick up for $299.99 on June 8, 2019.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
It’s been a good while since we received any updates in for Final Fantasy VII Remake. In fact, there were reports in the past that may have suggested the announcement for the game was too early but we did get a new trailer showing off the game once again. Unfortunately, no new details were given but we’re supposedly getting more information this June.
