Naughty Dog is an iconic video game development studio that has brought out several big name Sony exclusive franchises. However, all eyes right now are on their upcoming sequel to The Last of Us. This upcoming title will give players the ability to dwell in the world that featured our protagonists Ellie and Joel as they embark on a journey across the United States during a zombie-like pandemic. Where Naughty Dog really shines is their ability to tell a cinematic narrative that has you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see just what’s to come next.

The Last of Us originally came out on the PlayStation 3 though it came towards the end of the life cycle which allowed the development team to go back and give it a quick remaster for the PlayStation 4. We won’t spoil the story for you because it’s certainly one that we highly recommend if you have yet to experience it. At any rate, the game sets us up for a potential sequel, a sequel that has since been revealed and currently being developed.

In a recent tweet sent out by Neil Druckmann’s official account, the vice president of Naughty Dog, we have learned that the final scene for the narrative story has been filmed. Now in the filming industry scenes are often filmed out of order due to scheduling and locations, so we’re unsure if this tweet is supposed to reflect that not only has the final scene been filmed in the narrative sense but if the filming for the actors, in general, has been wrapped up.

At any rate, we’re thrilled that progress is moving along for the game and we can’t wait to hear more. Unfortunately, we really don’t know when that will be as Sony will not be attending E3 this year. For now, we know that the game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and even though the PlayStation 5 is around the corner, it’s been revealed that the upcoming Sony console will be backward compatible with PlayStation 4 video games.
