With a PS4 launch date announced for Japan, Square Enix followed the news by announcing a Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn beta test on the PS4.
The beta will begin on the PS4's Japan launch date of February 22nd. Final Fantasy 14 players on PS3 will also receive a free PS4 version should they decide to purchase the new console. Existing character data and subscriptions will carry over to the PS4 version free of charge.
Final Fantasy 14 launched on both the PC and the PS3 this August. Due to some unfixed connection issues, Sony began refunding PSN purchases of Final Fantasy 14 as an apology for not launching as smoothly as planned.
