We’ve heard a great deal about the new systems coming to NBA 2K14, but instead of sitting around and imagining what The Pro Stick will look like, a full game between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks has been released to actually showcase the changes. The competitive matchup is being manned by community leaders and NBA 2K enthusiasts Ronnie Singh and Chris “LD2K” Manning, and as long as you have the time, almost 40 minutes of gameplay are ready and waiting to be experienced.
The Pro Stick, which puts all the dribbling and shooting on the right analog stick, isn’t the only new gameplay tweak that can be witnessed here. The body-to-body contact, which hasn’t looked nearly as sharp in past games, and fresh blocking system are also on full display in this matchup. Throughout each and every quarter of play, both Singh and Manning point out specific new animations and maneuvers exclusive to 2K14, and if you pay close enough attention, you might just learn a thing or two from people who’ve spent countless hours studying and testing the product.
NBA 2K14 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be launching Oct. 1, and if you’re interested in next-generation versions, look to pick those up when the consoles debut in November.
