The past few months we’ve been hearing quite a bit about E3 2019 but most may not have been thrilled over it. A few notable companies have decided to part ways from the big video game industry event. For starters, we have Sony who was first to pull out from E3 2019 after claiming that they didn’t have enough news to put on a show and that they were looking to introduce new content along with announcements in a different way. One of which took place earlier this week, Sony’s PlayStation State of Play, a Nintendo Direct like upload which went over some of the latest news from Sony’s end.
Another company who won’t throw a show together this year surprisingly is EA. This company has received quite a bit of flack, but they have been present at E3 in the past to showcase new video game titles. Instead, the company will be doing a series of gameplay livestreams prior to E3. Now with two big names not hitting E3 this year, there may have been some concern about a few other reputable press conferences we’ve sat down to watch yearly.
Ubisoft has recently confirmed that they will be going through with an E3 press conference this year. Currently, Ubisoft will be holding their press conference on June 10, 2019, at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET. We won’t really know just what Ubisoft has planned to reveal at E3 but with a couple of big names not going to be at the event, this would be a great opportunity to really put on a big show and get their titles out in the spotlight.
We’ll of course have the latest updates during E3 right here on Gameranx. For those unaware, E3 2019 kicks off officially on June 11, 2019, but the days prior will hold press conferences.
