Beyond: Two Souls Demo Arriving Oct. 1

September 5, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

PS3 owners will soon get a taste of Quantic Dream’s next game.

The demo for Quantic Dream’s next cinematic experience, Beyond: Two Souls, is just around the corner. PlayStation 3 owners will get a taste of the Heavy Rain follow-up Oct. 1, where two scenes from the retail product will be playable.

Although some story details will be divulged through the trial, Sony is looking to showcase the strides Quantic had made to its gameplay system. Things have changed quite a bit since the developer’s last hit, and the only way fans can understand that is by getting their hands on Two Souls. The two scenes that will be included are described below:

·         Jodie & Aiden: Join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. As officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity.

·         Hunted: Skip forward a number of years and help Jodie escape the clutches of government agents as the mysterious entity unleashes its truly astonishing powers.

Along with this news comes the third “Making Of” video that the PlayStation Blog has been pumping out. This one’s all about the performance capture from the two stars, Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, and how this format is much different from what’s seen in the movie business.
