The Dark Souls 2 Beta has opened up for signups on Playstation Network. Concurrently announced on the Dark Souls Facebook page and the Playstation Blog, you can login to your PSN account now to get a ticket to join the beta, or you can access it on the web on this link.
If you live in the US, there seems to be a catch as the signups are only for Europe at this time (Specifically, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and United Arab Emirates). Of course, this does not mean you have to miss out on it entirely, you just have to switch to you European PSN account (or make one if you still have not done so) and download the ticket, under the Games Section, Latest Releases tab.
It’s not clear if or when American beta signups will be available, but don’t bother checking, at least not in the near future, because you will see numerous comments on that Facebook page and this NeoGAF thread complaining that it really is not available right now. For that matter, no word on betas for Xbox 360, Steam, or Windows either.
From Software announces that the first rounds of beta will start in North America, Europe, and Australasia October 12, and the 2nd round October 27. They will share more details in the near future.
Dark Souls 2 will be officially released March 2014 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PCs. You can get more information on the game straight from GameRanx here.
