Devil May Cry is getting a brand new installment this year in the form of Devil May Cry 5. The game is slated to launch within March of this year and if you’re eagerly awaiting for the game, you may be interested in knowing that the game doesn’t have any post-launch content. Instead, the game will launch fully without any additional DLC that can be purchased later on. This announcement came from a fan Tweet towards Matt Walker, a producer of the title.
In the Tweet, the fan asked if there are any additional content outside of Bloody Palace for Devil May Cry 5 where Matt Walker stated that the development team over at Capcom has no plans at the moment. If you’re unfamiliar with Bloody Palace, this is a game mode which puts players into a single-elimination tournament where players must fight against a group of enemies until they reach the final floor of the palace. This addition has been around since Devil May Cry 2 and it’s coming to Devil May Cry 5 completely for free.
Nope! Only plans currently are for BP. ^^

This upcoming installment takes place years after the events of Devil May Cry 4 where both Dante and Nero begin to hunt down a new demon invasion. Players will still have the same overall feel and vibe of the game series with a hack-and-slash style action-adventure. Currently, Devil May Cry 5 is set to launch on March 8, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and lastly the PC platforms.
