The latest update for Epic Games battle royale title, Fortnite has been released and it comes with a much-requested feature from Switch and Mobile users.
Update v7.40 comes with the new Stats V2. This will allow users who play on either the Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices to finally track their stats such as kills, wins, deaths, and etc. This new stats system will be upgraded across all platforms and give more variety of info and track player progress better over time.

What does that mean?
The current stats system database couldn’t scale properly for all platforms so we’re going to upgrade the existing one to include a variety of info and track player progress better over time.
Here are a couple of new things arriving with the update to stats:
- The ability to track all of your play in one place and view it across all platforms.
- All of your previously earned stats will be added in and displayed in-game.
- There may be a few minor edge cases where a small amount of data could be missing.
- All of your previously earned stats will be added in and displayed in-game.
- All LTM stats are combined and tracked in a singular tab. This means that any previous LTM stats you’ve earned will be moved out of the Solo/Duo/Squad tab and into the LTM tab.
- The exception to this would be Large Team Mode LTMs. We don’t track stats in those game modes.
I’ve played about 150+ hours of Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch and one of the biggest annoyances was that I couldn’t see my stats. This new update eases the pain and will now track stats, so make sure you keep your K:D ration low and your win column high!
Fortnite Battle Royale is now available to download for all platforms. Are you excited to finally track your stats if you play on Switch or mobile? Let us know in the comments below!
