YouTuber mpoxDE has uploaded nearly 13 minutes of Pokemon X and Y gameplay footage from gamescom last week which you can see below.
While the video is in German you should still get a pretty good idea of what to expect when the games are released for 3DS on October 12th and you can take a look at the games' pre-order incentives here.
Pokemon X and Y will introduce a number of changes including diagonal movement, 3D environments, dynamic battles and mega evolutions.
The games are set in the Kalos region, which is loosely based on northern France.
