In Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it isn’t all about the plants defending their sacred garden. The 24-player experience will allow those less inclined to shrubbery to take the side of the undead, who are a highly customizable component of the core game. A brand new trailer has been released for this week’s Gamescom, showing new gameplay footage and the many different abilities you can throw on your favorite zombie.
Want to play as a tubby character riding a jackhammer? Prefer a zombie with a bazooka? It’s really up to you how the game is going to be played; but thankfully, Popcap and EA are giving you a wide scope of options. The video showed during the EA press even, which included all in-engine footage, gave brief glimpses of class alterations you can make to your soldier.
A Boss Mode was also announced, which is exclusive to Xbox One. In this unique feature, players can either control Doctor Zomboss or Crazy Dave and make use of a device that allows players to take out enemies "without touching dirt.” As you’d guess, this will all be done via the Smart Glass and Kinect.
You can expect to see Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare first on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in early 2014 for $39.99.
